Senate President, Bukola Saraki on Tuesday received a list of President Buhari’s ministerial nominees, BREAKING TIMES can report.
According to an informed source at the office of the Senate President who spoke to BREAKING TIMES on Tuesday on condition of anonymity, Saraki on Tuesday received the much-anticipated ministerial list from President Buhari but was “keeping it close to his chest.”
Following his promise to unveil his ministerial list at the end of September 2015, President Buhari sent the list of his nominees through Senator Ita Enang, his special adviser on National Assembly Matters, who departed New York last yesterday and arrived Abuja Tuesday morning.
“What I can tell you is that the Senate President has received the list but what I cannot confirm is the exact names on the list because I have not seen the list. Only the Senate President knows the content of that list as we speak and he is keeping it close to his chest, at least for now but chances are the list will be made public for the consideration of Senate before the end of this week”, the source disclosed BREAKING TIMES.
The Nigerian media has been awash with speculations on possible names on President Buhari’s list. Some of the prominent names expected to make the list include; Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazu (rtd); Chief Kanu Agabi SAN; Prof. Tam David West; Femi Falana (SAN) and Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi. Others are, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola; Abubakar Malami (SAN); Mrs. Ifueko Omoigui-Okauru; Dr Kayode Fayemi; Dr. Abba Ruma; Donald Duke; Babatunde Raji Fashola; Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi; Festus Odimegwu; Dele Momodu and Prof. Pat Utomi.
