Edo 2016: Independent Opinion Poll

An independent political group based in Edo state, has disclosed  that an opinion poll carried out by a reputable Non Governmental  group on the forthcoming 2016 gubernatorial election in the state showed that Dr. Pius Odubu of the All Progressive Congress (APC) tops the chart of aspirants with a margin of 0.3 per cent.

According to the group, the survey was carried out a week ago across the three senatorial zones in the state. The opinion poll conducted based on perception of people and other factors, shows the public ratings of various gubernatorial aspirants in the race.

Coordinator of the group, Mr. Maxwell Edosowan gave the breakdown of the cumulative aggregate scores among the aspirants from both the APC and the PDP as; Pius Odubu;16.7%, Osaro Onaiwu 16.4%, Godwin Obaseki; 15.4%, Solomon Edebiri 14.2 %, Osagie Ize-Iyamu;14.1%, Matthew Iduoriyekemwen; 12.5% and Chris Ogienwonyi;12.1%.

With the above calculation and indications, it is obvious the consciousness and readiness of the Edo People towards the forthcoming Gubernatorial election has climaxed to the height of preparedness by all and sundry.
