Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr has declared that home wins against Cameroon and Zambia are all Nigeria need to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
With four round of matches remaining to conclude the qualifiers, Super Eagles lead in Group B with six points from two matches, their closest rivals, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have two points from the same number of games, while the Desert Foxes of Algeria and Zambia’s Chipolopolo, trail the group with one point each.
Victories against Cameroon and Zambia in Uyo on August 28 and October 2 respectively will see the Eagles amass 12 points to top Group B not minding the outcome of the other games.
The German tactician is however wary of the stiff opposition both teams will offer.
“Winning our first two matches was a great start, but we will not play again until the end of August and early September, when we face Cameroon,” said Rohr.
