The Commissioner of Police, Abia State, Mr Leye Oyebade, has sternly warned members of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) against unapproved procession, saying police will not allow any breach of the public peace.
The CP who gave the warning yesterday in Umuahia advised agitators of Biafra Republic to rather follow constitutional means in their agitation instead of embarking on illegal assembly.
He said: “There can never be a republic within a republic. We are ready to deal with any group who wants to disrupt the peace of the state. We are prepared to maintain the peace of the state.
“We will not tolerate any unapproved procession or gathering to avoid breach of peace in the state,” he warned.
