Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is desperately trying to lure Marco Asensio to Stamford Bridge according to Don Balon.
The Spanish media outlet has sometimes linked the youngster to numerous European clubs including Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Chelsea in recent months.
But the latest report emanating from the Spanish publication reveals Abramovich’s desperation to beat other interested clubs to his signature in the summer.
Marcos Asensio hasn’t been regular in Zinedine Zidane’s team this campaign and he is being linked out of Santiago Bernabeu as part of his search for more regular first-team actions in the upcoming season.
Florentino Perez seems unwilling to let go of the striker considering his goalscoring abilities but the Madrid president might fail in his bid to retain Asensio’s services beyond this campaign.
Former Madrid player Alvaro Morata is also believed to be involved in during his Spanish teammates to Stamford Bridge ahead of next season.
The Spaniard joined the Blues at the start of the season and he is hoping he could convince Asensio to make a switch to the Premier League this season.
Alvaro Morata has failed to live up to fans and pundits expectations throughout this season, scoring just seven league goals for the Blues.
Just as Morata, other Chelsea strikers including Olivier Giroud and Willian have all failed to convert most of the chances created by the team this season and that is the main reason behind Abramovich’s chase after his signature as he is in search of a long-term solution to the striker’s problem.
