A former Special Adviser to Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on Political Matters, Alhaji Ahmed Gulak, has declared himself as the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, at the National Working Committee Hall, at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
Alhaji Ahmed Gulak declared himself the Party leader in company of former Special Assistant to ex-president, Goodluck Jonathan on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe and a former Commissioner in Bayelsa State, Chief Ayakeme Whisky.
Alhaji Gulak said he made the declaration because; “of a court order of December 16, asking the party to name someone from the North-East to replace the former chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu”.
His declaration was welcomed by a cheering crowd which included workers at the secretariat. Alhaji Ahmed Gulak further urged the NWC of PDP to work with him in order to move the party forward.
