The police boss said this remained one of the key ways to free the country of criminal activities.
Aisabor, who disclosed this during a visit to TUNS Farms Nigeria Limited Osogbo, added that if many Nigerians could be entrepreneur- minded and invest in agro-business and other sectors of the economy, it would reduce the rate of unemployment in the country and by extension reduce the numbers of those who take to crime as means of survival.
“By virtue of my job, I have been too many places in the country. I know people can unjustifiably take to crime because of unemployment. If many Nigerians could be enterprising and invest in the country’s economy like TUNS Farms, then unemployment would reduce. That is why I call on all Nigerians who God has blessed to invest greatly in the Nigerian economy,” he said.
Aisabor further commended the management of Tuns Farm for providing means of livelihood for many people, describing the organisation as “a model worthy of emulation by other Nigerians”.
Chairman of Tuns Holdings, Asiwaju Tunde Badmus, assured the police boss of his support for the zonal command. He disclosed that the farm, which was incorporated about 30 years ago, has over 500 workers in its fold.
Badmus added that harsh business environment and high cost of production were some challenges of the business, stressing that the company is however keeping the flag flying.
