Alex Iwobi returns against Lincoln City

Super Eagles forward, Alex Iwobi is set to make a return to the Arsenal starting line-up when the Gunners host non- league side, Lincoln City in a quarter-finals game of the FA Cup at the Emirates stadium on Saturday.

Iwobi, who has played in 34 matches for the North London side in all competitions so far this season, was excluded in the Gunners’ squad that suffered yet another 5-1 humiliation in the hands of German side, Bayern Munich in Tuesday’s UEFA Champions’ League round of 16 reverse match at the Emirates Stadium.

The 20 years old form has dropped in recent time and it became very obvious in Saturday’s EPL 3-1defeat at Liverpool, leading to call by some frustrated fans of the club that he be dropped from the starting line-up for more enterprising and experience players.

But knowing Arsene Wenger’s attitude and approach towards the Emirates FA Cup where he has always played a mixture of experience and youths, Iwobi, one of his most preferred forwards so far this season is favoured to get the nod to face Lincoln City.
