The National Chairman of PDP Senator Ali Modu Sheriff is in an emergency meeting addressing the press this morning at the party secretariat Wadata Plaza, Abuja.

Thus, he said that the NWC have accepted and adopted all the recommendations forwarded to them by the reconciliation committee headed by the Governor of Bayelsa HE Dickson.

The National Chairman also responded to some derogatory comments credited to the Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose who he described as more confused than anyone in the party.

The governor was quoted to have said during the International Women Day, that Sheriff can never be the chairman of PDP, and that the party is approaching the Supreme Court for further litigation over the matter. Despite the statement he made after meeting with president Jonathan recently that nobody should further make any derogatory statements that are capable of thwarting the peace process that the party leaders agree to succumb to.

But Sheriff said he will not join issues with Fayose, if not for the party affairs he has nothing to do with him, and as such nobody should think that he is having problem with anybody. Because, he served as Senator, governor and BOT Chairman before any of these trouble makers.

He also wish Nigeria well and for speedy recovery of the nation’s president who is on medical vacation abroad.
