Good initiative by Governor Ambode, but he must make sure that monitoring of those vehicles by the appropriate Authority is put in place. maintenance of those vehicles is also important. Ambode’s actions are really impressive, its a typical example of good leadership, good government.

good move…but wat will happen to danfo drivers nd their conductors…..same old story…UNEMPLOYMENT
SUGGESTION: roll out ur buses, no problem….but equip the regular danfos..rebrand them….
register them,gv uniforms, and roll out traffic monuitoring teams…not the hungary LASTMA we know

James, your comment is valid, I think the economic impact that decision will have on danfo drivers would have been taken into consideration by the state government, because, the State Ministry of Transportation cannot overlook this important aspect of your comment, they also have good rapport and communication with the state NURTW. I think the Governor a reputable Chartered Accountant would have taken care of the economic aspect which you mentioned.

Lagos state Government transport does not use Danfo, it is private people under NURTW, this is a poor journalism write up, is Danfo going to be phased out by governmet official buses? it won’t be enough to cover all of lagos, unless private people under NURTW are supposed with monies to buy new buses and drop Danfo.
