Armed Forces Remembrance Day| Ondo Disburses Over N22m Loans to Widows of Fallen Heroes

On‎do state Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, said his  administration will continue to prioritize the welfare of members of the Nigerian legion  in the state.

According to him “Despite the current economic hardship being experienced in Nigeria, our government will not relent in its quest to always put smiles on the faces of widows and the good people of Ondo state.
“The pivotal role played by the fallen heroes in defending the territorial integrity of the nation cannot be overemphasized hence the need to support the legionaries,their dependents as well as those who are still alive” Oluboyo said.

Earlier, the State Commissioner for Women’s Affairs and Social Development, Olasinmi Odunmbaku, said various empowerment programmes have  been put in place by the present administration to empower the legion as she seeks the cooperation of well-meaning Nigerians for the families of fallen heroes.
Speaking on behalf of the widows, Taiwo Agoi, thanked the State Government for always standing by them whenever the need arises.
