As Super Eagles battle Chipolopolo of Zambia

The Super Eagles will start their campaign for the 2018 World Cup today when they play the Chipolopolo of Zambia in Ndola.
Nigeria will not be at the 2017 AFCON in Gabon after failing to qualify for the competition for the second consecutive edition. The three-time African champions and five-time World Cup qualifiers have a tough task after being placed with Algeria, Cameroon and Zambia.
The Eagles are aiming to redeem their dwindling profile in African football as the players have vowed to win in Ndola today for a good start in the group qualifiers.
Everything points to a potentially explosive encounter as Zambia have warned that they will shock Nigeria by picking the three points at stake.
The Chipolopolo, who are counting on their vociferous home fans will enjoy the extra motivation with the presence of their football–loving President, Edgar Chagwa Lungu in the stadium.
Today’s encounter which is the first FIFA goalkeeper, Ok Kum Ju.
