The home-based Atlas Lion of Morocco have lifted the 2018 CHAN trophy after drubbing Nigeria’s home-based Super Eagles 4-0 in the final on Sunday.
Eneji Moses’s red card on 48th minute changed the game for the Moroccans as they ran riot after then.
The Moroccans had opened scoring in the 45th minute of the first half through Hadraf.
Very early in the second half, the Eagles were reduced to 10 men after Moses picked up a second yellow card and then a red card, paving way for the Moroccans who capitalised on Nigeria’s disadvantage to put in three more goals.
Morocco made it 2-0 on 61st minute through El Karti and scored three minutes later on 64th minute through Hadraf for his brace.
The Eagles’ midfield and defence virtually collapsed while the goal keeper, Ajiboye had a bad day as he performed poorly.
The Moroccans completed their rout in the 73rd minute of the game as El Kaabi scored the fourth goal for the host.
