Audu Abubakar Seeks Oyegun’s Support to Influence Tribunal Verdict on Dino Melaye

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship candidate in Kogi State, Abubakar Audu, has pleaded with the leadership of the party to assist Senator Dino Melaye in getting a favorable verdict at the tribunal according to media reports.
However, with the tribunals expected to deliver its verdict possibly on October 10, Melaye, accompanied by Audu, was at the party secretariat on Monday to seek the assistance of the party leaders in upturning a verdict that is most likely to go the way of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senator Smart Adeyemi for the Kogi West Senatorial seat.
The legal tussle between Dino Melaye and the former NUJ President entered a dramatic climax when the lawyers of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, tendered a certified true copy of the APC report on the Kogi West Senatorial primaries in which it was adduced that Melaye did not partake in that primary.
A closed door meeting was held for about an hour and half at the secretariat.
