The Senator Representing Nnewi North/South/Ekwusigo of Anambra State in the Federal Constituency, Hon Chris Emeka Azubogu has hailed what he he described as the new found proactive synergy amongst the stakeholders in Anambra State in managing the fight against CoVid-19 pandemic in the state.
Azubogu who stated this via a press release shared on his Facebook page, on Thursday, expressed his joy that Gov Willie Obiano has hearkened to his call on him to mobilize stakeholders in a more coordinated manner towards winning this CoVid-19 pandemic war together.
“Covid-19 Pandemic is a war that no society can win from individualistic approach, but rather through cordinated and purposeful synergy as is being witnessed now in several convid-19 hit nations and in the case of Anambra State, it is the Governor that will lead from the front and I thank God that the governor hearkened to my call on him to rise to the occasion and today our stakeholders are coming out boldly behind the state Government led coordinated efforts” he said .
The level of Confidence amongst our people has risen due to this new found synergy among stakeholders.
“You can see the level of confidence amongst our people recently with the Gov Obiano doing the needful by putting calls across and mobilizing our stakeholders for this common battle that we all must win together” Azubogu said.
Engr Azubogu who had earlier frowned at the lack of coordination amongst stakeholders towards the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in the state, urged Gov Obiano to mobilize stakeholders and also lead a state government coordinated effort on Covid-19 related activities in the state.
Azubogu further called on the Anambra State Taskforce on CoVid-19 Pandemic led by Dr Vincent Okpala to make public the various needs of the committee so that more people will know where to key into in order to ensure that we all win this war together.
“Let me also use this opportunity to thank all those contributing in various ways towards getting our State in proactive readiness against the CoVid-19 pandemic from individuals to the corporate Organizations. Let’s win this war together. Like I have been saying, this is not time for Politics, but a call to save the state and the people from this CoVid-19 pandemic ” he said.
Engr Azubogu also called on the State Governor to consider setting up an enlarged committee of Frontline stakeholders that will pay attention not just to setting up isolation centres but also in ensuring that palliative measures aimed at ameliorating the harsh economic effects of the border closures are sent out to our people most especially the vulnerable ones.
He also called on more stakeholders to key into the cordinated efforts by the state govt by rendering their support.
