Bayelsa governor-elect, Lyon visits Tinubu

Bayelsa State Governor-elect, David Lyon, on Monday evening visited the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, in his residence in Asokoro, Abuja.

The visit came a few hours after the Independent National Electoral Commission declared Lyon of the APC the winner of the governorship election held in the state on Saturday.

The governor-elect was accompanied on his visit to Tinubu by the Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva.

Sylva is a former governor of the state and also a leader of the party in the state.

Tinubu’s spokesman posted a photograph from the visit on his Facebook page on Monday evening.

Lyon had earlier paid a similar thank you visit to President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The national chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole; some governors elected on the platform of the party and Sylva accompanied him to the meeting with the President.
