The presidency has denied reports that President Muhammadu Buhari has named his chief of staff according to Nasidi Adamu Yahaya, a BBC Hausa reporter.
Rumours hit the Nigerian social media on Monday that Mr. Buhari on Monday appointed a former military administrator of Kaduna State, Col. Hamid Ali (rtd), as his Chief of Staff.
However, Nasidi Adamu Yahya, a BBC Hausa Reporter disclaimed the report stating that the Senior Special Assistant on Media & Publicity Garba Shehu confirmed to him that Ali has not been appointed Chief of Staff.
President @MBuhari‘s spokesperson, @GarShehu has just told me that Hamid Ali was not appointed as Buhari’s Chief of Staff.

The Presidency is yet to officially provide further details on whether an appointment was made or would be made soon.
Mr. Buhari has been under pressure of late to announce his personal staff and cabinet positions, one month after his inauguration.
A recent BREAKING TIMES editorial had raised concerns on how the delay in the appointment of some key personnel by the president is slowing down governance.
