The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on Sunday stormed the residence of the immediate-past governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari in Talata Mafara area of the state.
According to POLITICS NIGERIA, the operatives of the anti-corruption agency numbering about 20 came in 7 vehicles for the Operation that lasted for hours. They arrived at the residence at 6 pm and left by 11 pm.
It is, however, unclear whether the anti-graft operatives have found anything incriminating during the raid. Eyewitness reports reveal that the governor and his family were not in the house during the raid.
The governor is facing serious scrutiny over alleged misappropriation of state funds to the tune of N251 billion.
