Leaders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Imo State Chapter have stormed the Headquarters of the Department of State Service (DSS), in Owerri to release of the party’s new media director, Ambrose Nwaogwugwu.

He was reportedly arrested and locked up by the DSS for calling Imo State governor, Hope Uzodinma, “Supreme Court Governor”.

Governor Hope Uzodimma has continously witnessed a public backlash from some Imolites, especially the opposing party PDP, having come into power after a controversial ruling by the supreme court.

The Governor had vowed to clamp down on social media critics in the state whom he described as lousy irritants ignorant of the implication of their actions.

With specific reference to the now incarcerated New Media Director of the People’s Democratic Party in Imo State, Mr Ambrose Nwogwugwu, the governor stated that his employees had set him on a suicide mission.

Apparently, the governor has followed up on his threat and leaders of the PDP, Imo State Chapter have demanded that Nwogwugwu be released from DSS custody where he is unjustly being detained.
