The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday, June 17, said it will resume the Continuous Voters’ Registration (CVR) exercise ahead of the 2023 general election.

According to the official, the registration exercise will be for Nigerians who have turned 18 and those who were not able to register during the August 2018 process
Breaking times gathered that the INEC resident electoral commissioner in Gombe state, Umar Ibrahim, while receiving a service achievement award conferred on him by the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students said the commission is concluding plans to resume the activity.
Ibrahim said the CVR process will be strictly for Nigerians who have turned 18 and others who could not register during the last registration exercise which was suspended in August 2018.
He also called on the NANS to call on students and other eligible voters to register and acquire the PVCs in order to perform their civic duties by coming elections.
