Buhari Emerges As APC Presidential Candidate

General Muhammadu Buhari, former Nigeria’s Head of State,  has emerged the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Buhari, who was elected on Thursday, at the National Convention of APC at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos, polled 3,430, to defeat other four aspirants.

Rabiu Kwakwanso polled 974 votes, Atiku Abubakar polled 954, Rochas Okorocha, 620 votes and Sam Nda-Isaiah polled 10 votes.

General Buhari is to slog it out with President Goodluck Jonathan, who has also emerged the flag-bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 14, 2015 presidential election.
