Buhari Responsible For Fuel Crisis, Not Kachikwu – Rt Rev Johnson Ekwe

by on April 1, 2016

The Anglican Bishop of Niger West in Anambra State, Rt Rev Johnson Ekwe, has said that the attack on the Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr Ibe Kachukwu, was misdirected.

The Bishop said the attack should be directed at President Muhammadu Buhari who is the substantive minister of petroleum.

He said it amounted to playing the ostrich to have left Buhari and directed the attacks on the Minister of State.

He also said that Buhari as the substantive Minister of Petroleum should be held responsible for any lapse in the sector and not Kachikwu who is under him.

The Bishop, who spoke in a sermon during the dedication of St Emmanuel Anglican Church, Umuleri, Anambra East Local Government Area of the state, maintained that there was no reason for Nigerians to be subjected to hardship in a country blessed by God.

The bishop also condemned the activities of Fulani herdsmen who go about killing and kidnapping innocent Nigerians with impunity.

He said some days ago in Awgu, Enugu State the herdsmen raped two women and killed two persons.
