Buhari Reveals Sponsors Of Fulani Herdsmen To Archbishop Of Canterbury

by on April 11, 2018

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has told the Archbishop of Canterbury, His Grace Justin Welby in London that killer herdsmen that have infiltrated some parts of the country were trained by the late Libya leader,  Muammar Gadaffi.

Buhari, who received the Archbishop on Wednesday said “The problem (herdsmen) is even older than us. It has always been there, but now made worse by the influx of armed gunmen from the Sahel region into different parts of the West African sub-region. These gunmen were trained and armed by Muammar Gadaffi of Libya.

“When he was killed, the gunmen escaped with their arms. We encountered some of them fighting with Boko Haram. Herdsmen that we used to know carried only sticks and maybe a cutlass to clear the way, but these ones now carry sophisticated weapons. The problem is not religious, but sociological and economic. But we are working on solutions,” he said.

Buhari lamented that “irresponsible politics” had been brought into the farmers/herders’ crisis, but assured that enduring solutions would be found, and that justice would be done to all concerned.

Buhari also explained to Welby why he declared his intentions to run for another term in office, saying that”I declared before leaving home because Nigerians were talking too much about whether I would run or not. So, I felt I should break the ice.

“We have many things to focus on, like security, agriculture, economy, anti-corruption, and many others. We needed to concentrate on them, and politics should not be a distraction. The majority of Nigerians appreciate what we are doing, and that is why I am re-contesting.”

The President recounted some successes of the administration to his guest, with whom he has built a deep friendship in recent times, and was quite particular about strides in agriculture.

“We have cut the importation of rice by about 90%, saving billions of dollars in the process. People who rushed into petrol money have now gone back to agriculture. Even professionals have gone back to the land. Nigeria should be able to feed itself comfortably soon. I am so pleased,” the President said.

On the war against insurgency, he stressed the need for continuous education of the people, “so that they can be free from religious manipulation,” adding that no true religion advocates the hurting or killing of the innocent.

On Leah Sharibu, the schoolgirl from Dapchi still being held by insurgents, reportedly because she refused to renounce her Christian faith, the President said:

“We are managing the matter quietly. Making noise would not help. We are collecting as much intelligence as possible, working with the Red Cross and other international organizations. There are too many fraudulent people around, who claim they can do this and that. We won’t deal with them. That was how we got the Dapchi girls back, and the Chibok girls.”

Archbishop Welby said it was always a delight to see President Buhari, “whom I have tremendous respect for,” adding: “You have my best wishes on your recent decision. I read your declaration speech. We are neutral as a church, but we will pray for you. Great statesmen are those who run for the good of their country. We will be praying for you.”

The Archbishop presented President Buhari with a copy of his recent book, ‘Re-imagining Britain. Foundations for Hope.’

COULD IT BE REALLY TRUE THAT THE LATE LIBYAN STRONGMAN, GHADDAFI, TRAINED AND ARMED THE CRIMINAL KILLER HERDSMEN? IF THAT WAS SO, DID HE ALSO FURNISH THEM WITH CATTLE TO HERD? WHY ARE THEY NOT TREATED LIKE THE COMMON CRIMINALS THAT THEY ARE? WHY ARE ANGO ABDULLAHI AND HIS ILK DEFENDING, SUPPORTING, JUSTIFYING, AND EVEN ENCOURAGING THE HERDSMEN’S DASTARDLY ACTIVITIES? WHY HAS THE FULANI ATIKU ABUBAKAR REMAINED MUTE SINCE THE CURRENT SPIKE IN HERDSMEN ATTACKS COMMENCED?
MR. PRESIDENT, I AM NOT SURE YOU HAVE IDENTIFIED THE ROOT-CAUSE OF THIS HIDEOUS MENACE. IF YOU DO NOT TAKE ON THIS MENACE AS YOU DID WITH THE BOKO HARAM INSURGENCY, IT WILL BE A BLIGHT ON YOUR OTHERWISE GLORIOUS SERVICE AS NIGERIA’S PRESIDENT IN THE LAST THREE YEARS. THE HERDSMEN’S VICTIMS AND, OR THEIR FAMILIES SHOULD BE ADEQUATELY COMPENSATED AND THE CRIMINALS BROUGHT TO BOOK.

How can this be possible? The first question is,does it mean that Ghadafi trained the nigeria fulanis without the consent of nigeria fulani leaders who are defending them without wearing any mask? Secondly, why did the federal government refused to tag fulanis herdsmen a terrorists since they are being trained to destroy lives and properties? Thirdly, why do federal govmernment so reluctant in deploying operation python dance to them the same way they deployed the troops to harmless IPOB in the south east of nigeria? In fact, there are more than one thousand questions towards this recent statement made by Mr president.

Mr President is just playing politics and in so doing, playing with the the lives of a greater majority of the Nigerian people. If he so much know as he claims, why then the preferential treatment in dealing with the sect. This is purely a religious war in disguise but the problem is that the Northerners who are the immediate neighbours of these Hausa-fulani have failed to understand the handwriting well. They are being used as instruments of destruction to themselves. The powers that be in Nigeria know these but continue to pretend not to, or sit on the fence. But, they can only deceive their fellow men not God. God is silently fighting the war himself by stealing away their kingpins. Soon, they will be left without any backbone. If not that human lives are being wasted in this useless jihad, and covered by lies and deception, I think I am liking the panorama.

Mr. President, I disagree with you that late Ghadffi of Libya trained those terrorist under the disguise of been herdsmen, just be honest and tell the world the truth what is happening in Nigeria, rather to point your finger on someone that is one of the best leader in Africa because he is late.

All this crisis in Nigeria is political motivated and the reason why this herdsmen raise up with their arms to slaughter innocent people is because they Fulanis knows that Mr. President is a native of Fulani tribe and he can defend them when they “Fulanis” commit all sorts of atrocities in all part of Nigeria.

Total lies peddled to the Archbishop. If they’re not Nigerians, why has the military not routed them out? 2. Why have you not declared them as terrorist organization? Instead you hurriedly declared a mere civilian street protesters (IPOB) terrorists. 3. Why have you not arrested any of them? Instead you’re busy arresting on Nigerians defending themselves. 4. Why are you forcing Nigerians to give them grazing colonies in all the states of Nigeria?. Why did you first visit them in Nasarawa State before been forced to visit massacred Benue people?. God will decide your fate in the coming election and not your Inec, Court or APC. You can’t smell that seat again after May 2019 except God does not exist anymore which I know he does exist. Nigeria under you have become streams of innocent blood under your watch. No foreign government will succeed in forcing you on Nigerians as far as GOD IS ALIVE.
