Christmas is a time of sharing, laughter, love and reflection on the significance and impact of the miraculous birth of the messiah into the world. So It was a night of fun, laughter and reflection at the Christmas Charity Concert as families and friends thronged in to the Pearl Arena at Emerald Park Garki, Area 3, Abuja. Consequently, the act of giving, showing love to one another, making children happy and bringing families together was the backbone of the maiden edition of the event.
The Christmas Charity Concert is the pet project of two young mothers; Evbusogie Abulime and Nyore Onegbedan who are moved with the need to bring families together to share the joy of the Christmas season in a thrilling and captivating atmosphere.
The sole purpose of the event was to give back to the society by showing love and care to the less privileged amongst us. “Our intention is to give a large percentage of proceeds from the Christmas Charity Concert to the orphanage we visited for this purpose” the organizers told Breaking Times.
“The orphanage home we intend to bless and touch positively with this Charity Concert is a home for the abandoned, destitute and motherless children around Durumi, Abuja.
“This orphanage caters daily for the needs of these children, we therefore instantly connected with the home on our first visit and unanimously agreed that it would be the major beneficiary of this project hence the orphanage requires several structural developments which we intend to carry out”, they said.
