COVID19: 70% of Nigeria’s Deaths Had Diabetes or Hypertension – Health Minister

Nigeria’s Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire revealed that 70% of Nigeria’s Covid-19 deaths had cases of hypertension, diabetes, cancer and other ailments.

This was announced during the daily PTF briefing.

He also disclosed that about 70% of the deaths were above the age of 60 and about half of the deaths happened at home.

Nigeria has recorded 200 deaths as at Wednesday. The Minister urged Nigerians waiting test results to self isolate and observe the required hygiene measures.
