Exactly a week after some Naval personnel killed a kinsman of former militant leader and wanted High Chief, Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo, another gang of military officers suspected to come from the Nigerian Navy on Thursday almost killed another prominent community leader in the state.

The victim, Lucky Emuakpor Izeku who is the chairman of Enerhen community escaped death by a whisker from the irate naval personnel who shot sporadically at his car.

Sources at the community said the incident was already brewing severe tension in the volatile Enerhen community of Uvwie council area of the state.

Eyewitnesses narrated that trouble started when members of the community embarked on a peaceful protest to Arco Marine Limited, a local oil servicing firm alleged to be relocating from the community without paying local staff that have been working with them for years.
