Nigerian citizens took to the social media on Tuesday to demand proof of life by Nigeria’s Department of State Security (DSS) after media reports on Monday that ex-Chief Security Officer to former President Jonathan, Mr. Gordon Obua has died in the custody of the DSS.

Obua, who was being detained by the DSS in an underground dungeon for undisclosed reasons was being denied access to his lawyers, family, and his doctors on the orders of the new Director General of the DSS, Lawal Musa, which serves as Nigeria’s secret police.

Nigerians on Tuesday demanded an official statement from the DSS on his true condition after conflicting reports about his death, collapse and revival after being allegedly hospitalized.

Investigations by BREAKING TIMES reveal that as at the time of filing this report, no one has set their eyes on Obua, not even his wife and close family members.

An informed security source who spoke to BREAKING TIMES on condition of anonymity insists that Obua is dead but the DSS is still disoriented and considering an appropriate narrative that deflects culpability for his death.

The DSS has not issued any statement on reports of Obua’s death.
