Don’t lose sleep over President Buhari’s health, FG tells Nigerians
The Federal Government has again assured Nigerians that there was no cause for alarm over President Muhammadu Buhari’s health, insisting that he is in very competent hands in London where he is undergoing treatment.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, gave the assurance on Wednesday in reaction to questions raised by journalists over latest reports that the President has fully recovered from an undisclosed ailment.
“Once again, I want to make myself very clear on the issue of Mr. President; he is in very competent hands and there is no cause for alarm”, the minister said.
Buhari left Nigeria for the United Kingdom on May 7 for a follow-up consultation with his doctors.
His wife Aisha joined him in London on Tuesday, but there is no information on exactly when he will return to Nigeria.
Asked when the 2017 Budget will be signed, Mohammed said ministers were still working with the Minister of Budget and National Planning to reconcile the figures.
