Don’t lose sleep over President Buhari’s health, FG tells Nigerians

by on June 1, 2017

The Federal Government has again assured Nigerians that there was no cause for alarm over President Muhammadu Buhari’s health, insisting that he is in very competent hands in London where he is undergoing treatment.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, gave the assurance on Wednesday in reaction to questions raised by journalists over latest reports that the President has fully recovered from an undisclosed ailment.

“Once again, I want to make myself very clear on the issue of Mr. President; he is in very competent hands and there is no cause for alarm”, the minister said.

Buhari left Nigeria for the United Kingdom on May 7 for a follow-up consultation with his doctors.

His wife Aisha joined him in London on Tuesday, but there is no information on exactly when he will return to Nigeria.

Asked when the 2017 Budget will be signed, Mohammed said ministers were still working with the Minister of Budget and National Planning to reconcile the figures.

Honestly i wish Mr president well and quick recovery . Nigerians wish him well too .
However i want to also use this medium to say that FEC in their next meet should urgently address the issue of the terrorists ravaging this country and pretending to be herdsmen . Every part of the country is affected but it seems to be more in the middle belt and southern part .
My candid opinion is that establishment of state policing or community policing backed up by law and a well defined modus of operation will stop this embarrassment . It beats my imaginations why this is happening in these magnitudes and it looks like the terrorist herdsmen are winning .
The truth be told , enact a law prohibiting this roaming open grazing ,let cow breeders establish ranches and you see that this terrorism will stop . This is because the terrorists won’t see avenue to latch on to operate .
I do ask is it that we don’t know what to do or we don’t want to do it or we feel it is not affecting us now or what ?
Why are these herdsmen not attacking our neighbouring countries the way they are attacking us ? Who are these terror herdsmen ? If they are foreigners , how do they enter ? If they are causing us problems , do we need any permission to send them back from wherever they are coming from ?
