by on November 9, 2019

There was a mild drama on Saturday at the headquaters of the Dpartment of State Services, DSS in Abuja as human right activist Deji Adeyanju who had volunteered to pick up Omoyele Sowore from their custody.

The Nigeria secret police had on Friday through its spokesman,Peter Afunanya confirmed receipt of the court order for the release of Omoyele Sowore. But DSS affirmed that nobody has come to take the detained Omoyele Sowore from them.

This however prompted Deji Adeyanju to the DSS headquarters on Saturday by 10 am to take Sowore home but met stiff resistance by operatives, who said they had no clearance to let him go.

This is coming amidst public condemnation of theatrics by the DSS that had disobeyed two previous court orders for Sowore’s release.
