by on July 31, 2016

Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming Edo governorship poll, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, said yesterday he was not moved by the constant verbal attacks on his person by Governor Adams Oshiomhole.

The Osagie Ize-Iyamu Campaign Organisation in a statement made available to newsmen in Benin City declared that the governorship candidate remained strong and focused in bringing kicking the APC government in Edo State out of power.‎

Ize-Iyamu said his quest to deliver socio-economic, healthcare, employment, skill acquisitions and other deliverable services to the people wa his number one priority in service of the people of the state.

He said there was no better prepared candidate for the position of governor in the state, adding the his popularity as the PDP candidate is overwhelming.

The PDP candidate advised the out-going governor to explain to the people how the state treasury in the past seven and a half years had been spent rather than blaming him for being part of the woes and afflictions in the state.

According to the statement; “from all that we have heard, we are yet to be persuaded by Oshiomhole/APC’s weak argument and misinformation that there is a better prepared candidate for the Edo State governorship position in any of the political parties than Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu”.‎

The statement added that apart from occasional outbursts, which many do not understand, no one has so far refuted the story that it was the same so-called “discredited government’’ that brought and financed Oshiomhole’s election in 2007.

The campaign organisation further stated that it is malicious and spiteful to blame Ize-Iyamu for whatever might have been the mistake of Igbinedion-led administration.
