by on October 22, 2015

The Yobe State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal has upheld the victory of Governor Ibrahim Gaidam of the All Progressives Congress.

The Peoples Democratic Party challenged the election of the APC candidate, alleging massive irregularities in the poll that ushered in Ibrahim Gaidam for a second term in office.

Ibrahim Geidam was sworn in as Executive Governor of Yobe State, Nigeria on January 27, 2009. He was elected on 26 April 2011 for a second term as governor.
