by on June 8, 2015

Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, has disclosed that he has left the outgone All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmakers in the immediate past state House of Assembly in the hands of God for judgment.

Fayose said vengeance is of the lord, saying he has no intention to retaliate whatever he must have experienced in the hands of the lawmakers, who had a running battle with him.
The governor said this in Ado Ekiti at the Deeper Life Campground during his victory thanksgiving and special prayer for the newly inaugurated members of the fifth Ekiti State House of Assembly.

Fayose said having been victorious over the evil machinations of the Hon. Adewale Omirin-led lawmakers through the grace of God and the overwhelming supports of the people, he has no reason to be vindictive or scheme vengeance against anybody.
Meanwhile, the governor’s wife, Mrs. Feyisetan Fayose, at the church   service yesterday, said  she had a premonition of the political crises that rocked the state in the last few months occasioned by the feud between the governor, and the former 19 APC lawmakers in the state House of Assembly since November last year.

Mrs. Fayose, who was giving a testimony, recalled that God revealed to her in a dream that the state would pass through a turbulent period in  March and April but with an assurance that He would not abandon them.

She said: “In the dream, God told me that March and April will be stubborn. He said we should get prepared for it. But God promised to see us through and He did.”

The governor had at the inauguration of the fifth State House of Assembly last Friday, described the seven months of his administration as challenging  and “months of distractions” due to the feud between him and the former lawmakers.

The governor and the former 19 APC lawmakers in the assembly had been in a running battle shortly after the take off of the administration, which culminated in the failed impeachment moves against the governor.

Those at the service included government’s officials, newly inaugurated lawmakers, led by the Speaker,  Hon Kola Oluwawole, traditional rulers, People Democratic Party (PDP) leaders among others.
The governor, while recalling the turbulent crisis, said he would not seek vengeance, adding that vengeance belongs to God.

He said: “I have handed them over to God as vengeance belongs to God. I will not take vengeance. I dedicate the victory to God and the good people of the state who stood by me. Meanwhile, the PDP in the state has alleged that the APC has started planning another onslaught to make the state ungovernable for the governor.

The PDP Publicity Secretary, Mr. Jackson Adebayo, in a statement on Sunday, said the APC strategic committee swung into action immediately the last impeachment move collapsed.

Jackson said: “They have two factions, the Action Group being led by  Senator Babafemi Ojudu and the other group being led by former APC governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi; its only one of the groups that has set up a committee to draw up different options that can be facilitating crisis in the state so that the government could be distracted from pursuing developmental programmes that will continue to make the governor not to enjoy the goodwill of the people of Ekiti State.
“We will however like to remind  them that all these unholy melodrama and devilish agenda cannot work against our party or the governor rather it will continue to put more sand on the coffin of the political fortune of APC in the state.”
