The foreign imports of FC Ifeanyi Ubah have continued to prove unstoppable by defenders in the ongoing NPFL as they run riot with goals against visiting teams at the Ifeanyi Ubah stadium, Nnewi.
Yesterday, with goals from Nico Dao and Sekka Paschal off assists from Williams Walter Dasilva and a consolidation from Okereke Maduabuchi, the Anambra Warriors walloped new entrants, Ikorodu United 4-1 in the week 6 NPFL match.
The visitors displayed good football artistry until the home boys took over the initiative and got a goal 11th minutes into play, Nico got the second goals four minutes later when he headed into the net off a lob from the Super Eagles invitee, Bright Onyedikachi from the left flank.
Ikorodu United’s attempt at goal resulted into a corner kick fourteen minutes into the first half. What would have been the third goal for the FC Ifeanyi Ubah, popularly called the Anambra Warriors was stopped by their visitors’ goal tender, resulting in a corner kick 27th minutes into the rainy encounter.
Fifty two minutes into resumption of play, the Ikorodu United reduced the tally through Stephen Nwaimo via a free kick. Okereke Maduachi hit the back of net four minutes later for Anambra Warriors to increase score line to three. The scorer of the third goal was immediately substituted for Seka Pascal to add bite to attack of home side.
The newly introduced Williams Dasilva was pulled down 18th minutes into the second half and Seka Pascal wasted no time in converting the spot kick for goal number four for the entertaining home side.
