FLASH| Amuneke Begins U-20 Journey

Emmanuel Amuneke will today begin his assignment as the national U-20 team, the Flying Eagles coach, with 30 invited players to national camp.
Expectedly, the list is dominated by the victorious 2015 FIFA
U-17 Golden Eaglets including goalkeepers Akpan Udoh and Amos Benjamin as well as John Lazarus, David Enogela, Kingsley Michael, Funsho Bamgboye, Chukwudi Agor, Joel Osikel, Ejike Ikwu, Udochukwu Anumudu, Osinachi Ebere and Orji Okonkwo.
Amuneke opted to have a three–day open screening for the new players ahead of the team’s camping for a 2017 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Burundi.
The open screening will hold Friday, 7th April and Saturday, 9th April before the 30 invited players will arrive camp in Abuja on Monday, 11th April.
Team secretary Ibrahim Aliyu Lawal disclosed that the invited players will be camped at the Serob Legacy Hotel, in Abuja, ahead of the first leg of the fixture scheduled for Bujumbura on the weekend of 20th – 22nd May.
The return leg will hold in Nigeria two weeks after.
