Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel is wanted by Shanghai SIPG.

Sven Goran Eriksson’s club are willing to offer £6million for the Nigerian plus wages of £60,000 a week after tax.

Chelsea will hold further talks with the representatives of Ezequiel Lavezzi. The PSG forward is out of contract in the summer and Chelsea are looking at signing him on a free transfer in June.

The 30-year-old has interest from Inter Milan and Napoli but his agents Alessandro Moggi and Alejandro Mazzoni held an initial round of talks in London on Wednesday and have been encouraged by Chelsea’s interest.
