Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed striker Sergio Agüero is not fit to feature against Liverpool and has been left behind in Manchester.
The Argentina striker, 29, injured his knee in training last month and has not featured since the victory over Chelsea on 4 March.
“Sergio is in Manchester. He was injured the last two weeks,” Guardiola confirmed in his pre-match press conference on Tuesday, April 3, 2018.
His absence means Gabriel Jesus is expected to start at Anfield.
