FLASH | Spain Sacks Coach, Prepares To Face Portugal

by on June 13, 2018

The Spanish Football Federation apparently took the amazing decision to part ways with him just three days to Spain’s first World Cup match against Portugal on Friday because of Tuesday’s surprise announcement that he would be taking over as Real Madrid manager after Russia 2018.

According to Sky Sports the FA decided to take this drastic action because the federation president only learnt of his move to Madrid only five minutes before the announcement was made.

Sky Sports is also reporting that sources told them that negotiations between Madrid and the national team coach had been concluded on Monday before the announcement was made the following day.

Reports also have it that many of the players were against the FA’s decision, especially so soon to the World Cup.

More details later…
