Head coach  of the Super Falcons,Thomas Dennerby says his team will fight till the end despite their 3-0 defeat to Norway in their opening game at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.

The reigning  African champions had put up a good fight in the encounter with Norway on Saturday  but conceded thrice in the first half and despite tactical changes by Dennerby after the break, failed to stage a comeback.

“When it comes to sports, never ever give up. We have to fight for 180 minutes more, plus added time,’’ Dennerby told reporters.

“A game can change in the last minute. So, we will work very hard for it and I can promise that we’ll never give up.”
