Gunmen have killed two foreigners and five Nigerians including a director with the Adamawa State Ministry of Land and Survey.
The two white men were said to be in the state on an official assignment on the demarcation of the boundary between Nigeria and Cameroun.
The foreigners believed to be contractors were killed alongside the five Nigerians in Toungo Local Government Area of Adamawa State while they were demarcating the boundaries of some of the villages in the state.
According to agency reports, the slain director of the Land and Survey Ministry was simply identified as Zakaria.
As at press time, the police were yet to confirm the incident. However, a source in the state linked the killing to Fulani herdsmen who have been on the rampage in most parts of the country.
