The APC Kogi State gubernatorial candidate, Prince Abubakar Audu owns and resides in a gigantic mansion situated at the heart of the Government Reservation Area (GRA), Lokoja, Kogi State, SIGNAL can report.

Investigations backed up with photographic evidences by SIGNAL reveal that the mansion which was built during Audu’s time as Kogi State governor, is estimated to have cost a whooping N1.8 billion.

“When Audu started building that property, the entire state thought it was part of the Government House project which he said he was building. It was such a massive edifice. We never knew it was his private residence. This is actually not the only property he has in Kogi State, although this appears to be the biggest. Audu has several other properties scattered across Abuja, the United States and other parts of the world.

“He has a multi-million dollar mansion in Potomac, Maryland in the US as well. If you look around Lokoja and Kogi State as a whole, you can see poverty all around. But one man whose career was not known before he entered Government House has suddenly acquired so much wealth”, a Kogi State indigene who pleaded anonymity told SIGNAL.

The unraveling of the Abubakar Audu Lokoja mansion is coming a few weeks after Audu’s ruling APC party chairman in Kogi State, Hadi Ametuo appealed to the people of Kogi State to vote in the former governor after which he will return the N11 billion he allegedly embezzled from the state.
