Governor of Lagos State, Akinwumi Ambode has resorted to the use of brute security measures in clamping down on free press, BREAKING TIMES can authoritatively report.

Following a report on his news website detailing how Governor Ambode walked out his Deputy Governor from his office, Seun Oloketuyi, organizer of the annual Best of Nollywood Awards and publisher of online platform, Naijahottestgist.com was on Sunday 21st of June arrested and detained by security forces for publishing a story which was deemed unfavorable to the Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.

Investigations by BREAKING TIMES revealed that Oloketuyi was offered the sum of N500, 000 to pull down the story, which he rejected as an insult. He was then subsequently detained by the DSS for over 30 hours and was only released at the mercy of Governor Ambode. He disclosed that the security operatives quizzed him over how he got that piece of information.
