Following governments’ role played in the alleged shootings of EndSARS protesters by the Nigerian Army, the British parliament are currently debating a petition that will allow the parliament impose sanctions on the Nigerian government and the police over human rights violation and abuse.
According to the UK Parliament’s website, a petition has to cross the 100, 000 mark before it can be debated by the lawmakers. The petition however created by Silas Ojo targeting 100,000 signatures, has garnered 220,315 signatures.
