The Dan Anyiam stadium in Owerri will be agog on Sunday as Abia Warriors coach, Kennedy Boboye, has demanded for the maximum points against Heartland in the Oriental derby.
Boboye , who is basking on the euphoria of his teams’ 2 -1 defeat of El-Kanemi Warriors on Wednesday said his team failed to convert many scoring chances but will do more to achieve their target. “It was a tricky match, we were pegged back, we wasted too many scoring chances but the most important thing is the maximum points. My team did well, but we must not let that get into us, we must put in more efforts to accomplish our long-term desire. I have told the players that the ultimate is a continental ticket.”
Despite his charge, the Warriors will expect a big challenge from the Naze Millionaires who are currently seeking to impress the Imo State Government with their new management team.
Team manager, Oscar Keke has insisted that his team has repackaged Heartland into a winning side and a win against Kennedy Boboye and his boys in Owerri will go a long way in putting them in line for the actualization of their continental dream.
