The Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign States of Biafra (MASSOB) has urged Ndigbo to henceforth hold governors of the South East states responsible for any attack by the Fulani herdsmen in their territory.

MASSOB in a letter jointly signed by its Imo State Coordinator, Mazi Lotachukwu Ikeogu and the state Secretary, Sabastine Muonso during the 17th anniversary of MASSOB at its headquarters, Okwe in Onuimo Local Government Area of Imo State on Tuesday also warned Ndigbo to be at alert at all times.

The Igbo pressure group has also advised Ndigbo to set up a vigilante group in their various localities to prevent further attacks by the herdsmen.

While joining other members in the celebration of the formation of MASSOB, it however, noted that the efforts of falling heroes of the group both in the Biafra war and those that sacrificed their lives for the course shall never be forgotten.

According to the statement, “MASSOB join millions of other MASSOB members worldwide in celebrating our long walk to freedom, today we remember the brutalities of our no- violence MASSOB members, the mesmerisation, detention, imprisonment and killings of our non-violence MASSOB members, today, we also remember the traumatic torture, massacre of unarmed MASSOB members at Umulolo Okigwe on 29th March, 2003.
