Contrary to reports making the rounds on Social Media, Chief Tony Anenih is alive and well.
Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Edo State, Chief Dan Obih, on Wednesday, refuted media reports that former Chairman, Board of Trustees of the PDP, Chief Anthony Anenih was dead.
Obih, who spoke in a telephone interview with our Correspondent said, such reports that Chief Anthony Anenih is dead should be discarded.
According to the Edo PDP Chairman, “Chief Anthony Anenih is hale and hearty. He is alive. In recent times, he has been meeting with stakeholders of the party in Edo State, to ensure the PDP conducts a free, fair, transparent and rancour-free Governorship Primaries, to produce a capable and peoples candidate that will be supported by all other aspirants, thus, giving the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, a run for their money, in the September 10 governorship election in Edo State.
“So far, the meetings and deliberations have been worth it. As a dogged politician, Pa Anenih’s contribution, we believe would go a long way to make the PDP come out of its primaries rancour-free. So, rumours that he is dead should be dispelled.”
