I want to sincerely reassure Bayelsans that I have no godfather except God who is backing and sponsoring me on this RESCUE mission to create a sustainable future for our people”, Moses Siasia has declared in a press statement on Friday.

According to the Bayelsa State gubernatorial hopeful, “I have watched over the years as governors after governors are imposed on our people and will now ask, when will our people get to choose who govern them? I know that politics without godfatherism especially in Africa and most importantly in Nigeria is a very suicidal risk but I am inspired by the fact that when God and the people are backing you, then no force on earth can stop you”

Moses said he has received a lot of calls from elders in the state who claim that they have 30 to 40 years of experience in politics and saying that no one can become governor in the state except if they say so but he remains confident that only the people that can decide who governs them at this time of the state’s political history.

“The people will decide, not rigging. The people will decide, not ballot box snatching. The people will decide, not imposition. If they claim to have the experience, why are we like this, in poverty, lack and want. But we are willing and ready to work with those positive minded elders who are futuristic in their approach to issues and real time development of our state”, he said.
