The Minister of Information, Mrs. Patricia Akwashiki, yesterday said she was not aware of the expulsion of the State House correspondent of German radio, Deutshe Welle, Musa Ubale from the Presidential Villa.
Ubale had asked the Chadian President on speculations that he knew Boko Haram’s leader, Abubakar Shekau’s hiding place, the Chadian president told State House correspondents that: “I cannot tell you today that I know where Shekau is hiding and even if I knew I won’t tell you.”
He equally asked Derby the relationship between the multinational task force fighting in Lake Chad and the South African mercenaries fighting with them, Derby replied: “I have no information concerning mercenaries from South Africa.”
But when asked about the plight of Ubale while briefing journalists on the outcome of Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, Akwashiki said: “I was in Jos on official assignment. I read about it like you did.
“You know everything about security is controlled by the Chief Security Officer to the President.
He (CSO) has his reasons but I don’t know the reason why he should do that. I will ask him when I see him.
