Talks brokered by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in a last minute attempt to resolve the ongoing gubernatorial ticket tussle between Kogi State incumbent Governor, Idris Wada and gubernatorial aspirant Jibrin Isah popularly known as Echocho may have hit the rocks, a source familiar with the matter told BREAKING TIMES on Sunday.

According to the source who spoke to BREAKING TIMES on condition of anonymity, the PDP NWC had made attempts to prevail on Echocho to step down for Idris Wada owing to his less popularity and viability in winning the November 21, 2015 gubernatorial elections but Echocho insisted he needed to contest the primaries.
