LABOUR STRIKE | Confusion as Hoodlums Attack Lagos Residents

by on May 18, 2016

Hoodlums have taken advantage of the confusion surrounding a proposed labour strike to unleash violence on Lagos residents.

Suspected hoodlums, Wednesday morning, created a blockade at the Fadeyi axis of the popular Ikorodu expressway.

It is not clear if the blockade was initially created by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) which says it would embark on an indefinite strike over the federal government’s decision to increase the pump price of petrol from N86.50 to N145.

Those going to work, Wednesday, said hoodlums were hurling stones and other dangerous objects at vehicles.

Reports indicates that windscreens were smashed thereby forcing buses, cars, and other vehicles from turning back from the axis.
