Benue State Deputy Governor, Chief Stephen Lawani, has debunked speculation in some quarters that he may dump the Peoples Democratic Party as a fallout of the governorship primaries in the state.
Lawani, in a text message to our correspondent on Tuesday maintained that his loyalty to the PDP remained unquestionable.
“I remain in the PDP and going nowhere,” he said.
Lawani was able polled 317 votes during the governorship primary, coming second in the contest behind the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Terhemen Tarzoor.
He appealed to the people of the state not to spread false information that could jeopardise the chances of the PDP in the general elections.
